A guide to searching for a customer

Search By Customer ID

  1. Click the search bar and enter the customer ID.
  2. Select the Customer ID option from the dropdown.
  3. Press Enter or click the search button in the Advanced Search sidebar.
  4. You will be taken to the Customer Details tab if a customer is found.

Note: This option only appears if the value entered contains only numbers. If you prefix with characters (e.g., C23232), the dropdown will not show this option.

Search By External Customer Number

This ID has a configurable label. Common names include Customer Ref, CRM ID, Customer Number, and External Customer Ref. Check the label name on the New Customer screen—it’s the first field under Customer Details.

  1. Click the search bar and enter the customer ID.
  2. Select the label from the dropdown.
  3. Press Enter or click the search button in the Advanced Search sidebar.
  4. You will be taken to the Customer Details tab if a customer is found.

Show Recent Created Customers

From the Advanced Search sidebar:

  1. Change Search Type to Customers.
  2. Change Date Filter Type to Customer Creation Date.
  3. Set the desired range under Date Range Filter.
  4. Press Enter or click the search button in the Advanced Search sidebar.
  5. A list of customers will be displayed in the center of the screen.

Show Customers By Type

From the Advanced Search sidebar:

  1. Change Search Type to Customers.
  2. Change Date Filter Type to Customer Creation Date.
  3. Set the desired range under Date Range Filter.
  4. Click Customer and Address to show additional options.
  5. Under Customer Type, select Residential or Business.
  6. Press Enter or click the search button in the Advanced Search sidebar.
  7. A list of customers will be displayed in the center of the screen.

Show Customer by Failed Address Verification status

  1. Change Search Type to Customers.
  2. Change Date Filter Type to Customer Creation Date.
  3. Set the desired range under Date Range Filter.
  4. Click Customer and Address to show additional options.
  5. Under Address Filters, select Invalid Address (Customer with Address Failed validation)
  6. Press Enter or click the search button in the Advanced Search sidebar.
  7. A list of customers will be displayed in the center of the screen.
